Saucy Origins: Chicken & Waffles Buffalo Sauce
Chicken and WafflesA Southern tradition with none of the cousin kissing. This sauce was a lightbulb moment. Growing up in Georgia, we were raised on the sweet and savory dish, Chicken and Waffles. It’s a big hearty waffle, topped with a piece of crispy fried chicken and maple syrup drizzled all over it. Delicious and the flavors have always been influential in our kitchen. Made with Butter | All Natural | Gluten Free | Vegetarian One day at breakfast, Adam’s eyes lit up and he said, “We should do a sauce with maple syrup and call it Chicken and Waffles.” We started experimenting and immediately it became a favorite, winning everyone over with it's sweet and smooth finish. ![]() Fun Fact: A group of Sugar Maple trees that produce maple syrup is called the Sugarbush. One of the most important parts of creating this sauce was to have the best maple syrup out there. We work with an amazing farm in Northern Vermont, that produces high quality maple syrup, while preserving the beautiful forests and wildlife. Having pure, responsibly produced maple is key for this flavor. It’s sweet, but not overpowering, a little spicy and the maple and butter do this dance together that is just dynamite. |
